Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra Collection, 1950-1995.

The Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra Collection contains background information used for the symphony history project undertaken by Dr. William H. Lyon. This history traces the growth of the symphony from its conception in 1950 at the Pollock Ranch to 1987. An addition of news clippings and photographs were donated in 2011 that represent the symphony activities during the years of 1985 through 1995.

A. Harold Goodman was a music educator in Utah. He was born in 14 July 1924. Harold taught at Brigham Young University in the School of Music. In 1989 he was called to be the temple president of the Atlanta Georgia Temple, after serving as the chairman of the Church Music Department and in many other church capacities. He died 25 June 2007.
